Migrant Education

Who is served in this program?

A migrant child is defined as a child who is, or whose parent, spouse, or guardian is, a migratory agricultural worker, including a migratory dairy worker, or a migratory fisher, and who, in the preceding 36 months, in order to obtain, or accompany such parent, spouse, guardian in order to obtain, temporary or seasonal employment has moved from one school district to another.

What is the current Migrant Educational Program for the district?

Colleton County School District provides tutoring and a Summer School Program for migrant students in addition to the regular program of instruction.
